Světový den vody vybízí k zamyšlení, třeba nad recyklací vody
Pitné vody je na světě reálný nedostatek. Její důležitost připomíná 22. březen - den, který byl Valným shromážděním OSN v roce 1992 v Rio de Janeiro prohlášen za Světový den vody.
Každý rok Světový den vody vyzdvihuje jeden konkrétní aspekt. V roce 2015 bylo mottem Voda a udržitelný rozvoj, v roce 2016 Voda a pracovní místa a letos je mottem Waste Water - tedy odpadní voda. Téma představuje významnou příležitost vyzdvihnout možnosti propojení mezi čerstvou a recyklovanou vodou a to nejen v dlouhodobém horizontu pro zajištění udržitelného rozvoje, ale i v našem současném každodenním životě.
„Donedávna jsme se k vodě chovali jako k nevyčerpatelnému přírodnímu zdroji, ale vlny tropických veder a dlouhá období bez deště způsobila, že se v posledních asi třech letech významně projevilo sucho, a to jak na povrchových, tak i na podzemních vodách. Za sucha se s úbytkem vody v řekách zhoršila i její jakost,“ říká ředitel Povodí Moravy Antonín Tůma. „Nyní nás čeká úkol nejtěžší - přesvědčit mnohé občany, aby změnili své chování k vodě. Bez jejich spolupráce toho v boji s hrozícím suchem a nedostatkem vody nejsme sami schopni mnoho udělat,“ zdůrazňuje.
„Dodnes, bohužel, stále určité množství odpadní vody z našich měst, průmyslu i zemědělství odtéká do vodních toků bez jakéhokoliv čištění,“ doplňuje Jana Kučerová z Povodí Moravy, s.p.
U příležitosti Světového dne vody připravilo Povodí Moravy, s.p. u pro veřejnost Den otevřených dveří na přehradách Bystřička, Plumlov a Koryčany. Uskuteční se v sobotu 25. března a prohlídky s průvodcem budou začínat vždy v celou hodinu od 9 do 14 hod.
