Turistům se v Olomouci líbí. Jezdí jich stále více
Snaha zviditelnit Olomouc ve světě cestovního ruchu přinesla další úspěch. Olomouc je pro turisty z různých koutů světa stále oblíbenějším cílem, což nyní potvrzují i čerstvé statistiky návštěvnosti. Počet hostů, kteří se v roce 2013 v historické metropoli Moravy ubytovali a přenocovali, roste.
Podle statistik, získaných především od ubytovatelů, došlo v Olomouci k meziročnímu nárůstu počtu hostů v hotelích a penzionech o 9 procent a v počtu přenocování o 6 procent oproti roku 2012. Nejvyšší nárůst byl zaznamenán u návštěvníků z Ruska, kterých do města dorazilo o 2 669 více než v roce 2012. „Zvýšil se počet ubytovaných hostů z Jižní Koreje, kterých k nám vloni přijelo 2 712,“ poukazuje na zajímavost ve statistikách vedoucí oddělení cestovního ruchu Karin Vykydalová. „To mimochodem potvrzuje trend zvýšeného zájmu návštěvníků z této destinace v rámci celé České republiky,“ doplňuje vedoucí oddělení cestovního ruchu Vykydalová.
Nejvíce zahraničních návštěvníků do Olomouce vloni přijelo z Ruska (9 659), dále ze Slovenska (5 518), Německa (5 483) a Polska (3 524). V závěsu jsou hosté z Itálie (2 971) a Litvy (2 601). Zvýšil se také počet lidí, kteří ve městě přenocovali. V loňském roce hoteliéři zapsali do statistik celkem 93 532 přenocování hostů, což je o 10 570 více než o rok dříve. Průměrná délka pobytu se od roku 2012 nezměnila, je 1,8 dne. „Pokud jde o domácí cestovní ruch, i zde jsme zaznamenali nárůst jak v počtu ubytovaných hostů, tak i přenocování,“ dodává Karin Vykydalová. V roce 2013 se ve městě ubytovalo 51 506 Čechů, což je o 3 895 více než v roce 2012.
Aktuální statistiky tak doplňují pozitivní dojmy ze závěru loňského roku, kdy se o Olomouc v podstatně vyšší míře zajímali novináři ze zahraničí i zástupci různých cestovních agentur. Podle Karin Vykydalové se rostoucí zájem o Olomouc projevuje také na zahraničních veletrzích cestovního ruchu.
